Angel City Chorale has been selected by internationally acclaimed music
director and record producer Frank McNamara to appear in an hour-long PBS
special, The American Tenors. The show is being taped at the spectacular
Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday December 18, 2002. Free tickets are
available.
The three American tenors - Nathan Granner, Daniel Montenegro and Mauricio
O'Reilly - were discovered during an extensive national search. On the heels
of his overwhelming success with The Irish Tenors, Mr. McNamara is bringing
together this dynamic trio which will offer a thrilling mix of exceptional
talent, youthful good looks and remarkable stage presence.
Accompanied by a 60-piece symphony orchestra, ACC will join the tenors on
ten of the songs. The program will celebrate popular favorites and opera
classics, plus well-loved selections from Broadway and Americana.
The PBS special will air nationally in March.
