Join Angel City Chorale (ACC) as we celebrate the culmination of our 30th anniversary year with Holiday Homecoming!

As live music returns to Los Angeles in full force, ACC is thrilled to once again be performing on the famed Royce Hall stage. This is your home for the holidays: whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or simply the joyful spirit of the yuletide, come join us as we invoke the warmth of the season and gather with our singing family to rejoice at this special time of year.

A cornerstone of Holiday Homecoming, Kenny Loggins in Celebrate Me Home sums it all up: “Play me one more song that I’ll always remember that I can recall whenever I find myself too all alone. I can sing me home.” Arbolito de Navidad (Little Christmas Tree) is a heartwarming holiday story wrapped in an energetic mariachi arrangement. The concert will also feature the inspirational The Light of Hope, an original song from ACC Artistic Director Sue Fink and longtime choir soloist standout Dr. Reverend Donald Paredes that will pump up the goosebump
factor and maybe bring a tear or two to even the most cynical listener.

More than just Hanukkah celebrants will delight in the rousing Judah and His Maccabees and the moving Hine Ma Tov. Fresh, new orchestrated arrangements of familiar titles — God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, I’ll Be Home for Christmas — defy expectations and evoke a sense of wonder. The lively gospel of Children, Go Where I Send Thee will have you on your feet. We will also be joined by the ACC Orchestra and Angel City Youth Chorale for this wonderful concert.

Whether your idea of the holidays is Ho! Ho! Ho! or Bah Humbug, the stirring 180-voice Angel City Chorale, with Artistic Director Sue Fink and the ACC Orchestra, will raise your spirits and have you singing. The merry and rapturous festivities take place at Royce Hall, UCLA, Los Angeles on Saturday, December 2 at 7:00pm and Sunday, December 3 at 3:00pm PST. For those unable to attend the live performance, ACC will be livestreaming the Sunday concert.

Watch and listen as we invoke the warmth of the season with our singing family of 180 voices and the ACC Orchestra led by Artistic Director, Sue Fink, to rejoice at this special time of year. Holiday Homecoming is a diverse, inclusive and uplifting musical experience for all audiences featuring a selection of traditional and new seasonal songs across different genres, including mariachi, gospel and pop as well as a special performance by the Angel City Youth Chorale.

This year, we established partnerships to livestream and share our concerts with various organizations including Ronald McDonald House (Southern California Chapter), UCLA Medical Center, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Miller Children's Hospital, Downtown Women's Center and Prison Fellowship Ministries and to reach people in and outside Los Angeles who could use the lift of holiday music but could not come see us live.

Angel City Chorale’s most recent concert event, Rhythms of the Americas, was a thrilling ride through the breadth and depth of the Americas’ rich choral music traditions.

The America’s Got Talent semi-finalists and Los Angeles’s premier community choir returned to the stage at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus for one performance only on Sunday, June 9 at 3:00pm.

Did you miss the one-of-a-kind concert? It’s not too late to enjoy it via the recorded livestream! Expect songs in a wide variety of styles and five different languages, including English, Spanish, and Portuguese, plus Native American and Afro-Brazilian languages. There is also dancing, clapping, drumming, and sounds, harmonies, and emotions to make your spine tingle and your spirit soar.

We were thrilled to welcome guest conductor Dr. Cristian Grases, the Vice Dean of Classical Studies and Composition at USC’s Thornton School of Music, to lead the 160- voice chorale in this ambitious and exciting program.

We are a vibrant vocal ensemble whose mission is to achieve artistic excellence, build community, and champion diversity through the transformative power of choral music.

“One of the most engaging and entertaining evenings of music.”
— T-Bone Burnett

“...one of the best choirs we've ever had on this show.”
— Simon Cowell

“As a choir, we exist to bring people together, to elevate the human spirit and celebrate our unity of spirit and diversity of expression. We may be separated by walls and distance, but not by heart – not from each other or from the beauty and diversity of the city we represent. We firmly believe that we will make it through this crisis, that we will come together again, sing together again and fly again.”

- Sue Fink, Founder and Artistic Director

Angel City Chorale is proud to release a life-affirming music video to remind the people of Los Angeles and beyond – “We will fly again!”

In the face of the COVID-19 epidemic, we feel compelled to offer our conviction that, while it may seem we are all facing this crisis alone, we can still create extraordinary beauty together.

The 4-minute video features the chorale members pursuing their daily safer-at-home routines – ranging from home schooling and cooking to providing medical care – and pulls these disparate yearnings together for a moving expression of determination and resilience. The soundtrack is our live concert recording of Christopher Tin’s “Sogno di Volare” (The Dream of Flight), a soaring expression of the indomitable human spirit. Tin’s lyrics originate in the writings of Leonardo da Vinci about his own imaginings of flight.

Many thanks to Jill D'Agnenica for her artistic contributions to our SOGNO DI VOLARE video!
