Questions?
Beverly Padway, second generation Angeleno, was a great lover of all genres of music, choral music in particular. She sang with Angel City Chorale for 25 years and with the Santa Monica Sweet Adelines for 26 years. Beverly had an intense curiosity and zest for life. She loved hearing others' life stories and always recognized the tidbits of their lives that were unique and fascinating. Her genuine interest in people and her openness in sharing her own story were truly inspiring.
As an educator at Eastman Elementary School in East Los Angeles for 25 years, Beverly imparted her joy of learning and her sense of humor as a gift to her students. She was an eclectic collector, with her 400 pairs of eyeglasses and countless baseball caps topping her collecting list.
Beverly loved Angel City Chorale and all of the wonderful friends she had made in the chorus during her 25 year tenure with the group. She would be truly humbled and tickled pink knowing this competition was named in her honor.
