ACC is Back and Better Than Ever

We’re baaaack!

We’re thrilled to have everyone back for in-person rehearsals and live performances. It’s been too long. You’re probably wondering what we’ve been up to, and the short answer is: A LOT. We’ve already done a few live performances since the start of 2022, and we have plenty more coming up.

With doors opening back up, we’re ready and available for live performances and events that need either a full 180-member chorale or a smaller ensemble! Also, we’re still holding auditions for the spring season. All singers are welcome to audition, especially tenors and basses.

Recent Performances

March 3: Angel City Chorale performed as a featured choir at the Opening Night Ceremony for the Western Division – American Choral Directors Association – Regional Conference 2022 in Long Beach. Over 500 people were in attendance as ACC wowed the audience with a 30-minute set. We were incredibly honored by the standing ovation and thunderous applause!

March 19: Our March 19 performance during the finale of the Annual Conference of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers was a surprise for the attendees. 70 chorale members performed our golden standards like Africa, Baba Yetu, and This Is Me at the visually striking Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Hollywood. We started planning this performance with IATL back in 2019 before the pandemic, so we were super excited to finally perform for their members and invited guests.

Upcoming Live Performances

June 18 – June 19: We’ll be back at Royce Hall! Stay tuned for more information.

Around the World

Angel City Chorale stands in solidarity with the brave citizens of Ukraine, who are fighting for their lives and for their freedom.

As Leonard Bernstein said, “This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.”

Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month, and we want to take the time to appreciate the phenomenal women in Angel City Chorale this month, and every day, who contribute to uplifting and spreading joy to our community. Thank you for all that you do!

In honor of Women’s History Month, please enjoy this video of our women’s ensemble singing Stronger by Kelly Clarkson. Our group sang the number, as well as back-up for Rita Ora, at the VH1 Trailblazer Honors in 2019, featuring Nancy Pelosi as the keynote speaker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k27dBlRdWjw

We’re excited to take you along this journey so stay tuned for what’s to come!

Musically yours,

Angel City Chorale
