Historic Location
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Naples is also one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Sample the delicious food for which Naples is famous, like pizza, mozzarella, spaghetti in tomato sauce, and pasta with mussels. Visit a castle or two, or three. Browse the same shops Sophia Loren peered in where Italy’s renowned tailors continue to display their craft. You can stroll along the seafront that inspired so many famous Neopolitan songs, sip a cappucino at the luxurious Gran Caffe Gambrinus, and then walk across the street to see an opera at the famous San Carlo Opera House where the city’s own Enrico Caruso liked to sing.
There are amazing day trip opportunities too. Take in the stunning and romantic cliffs along the Amalfi coast, discover your favorite limoncello in Sorrento, or take a ferry to the romantic island of Capri, grab a table near the piazzetta, and experience an authentic Caprese salad.
For an ancient historic thrill, you can walk along the 2,500 year-old streets of Pompeii and Herculaneum, or visit the National Archeological Museum back in the center of Naples.
